Waimea Bay is located in Haleiwa on the North Shore of Oahu.
After Capt. James Cook was killed at Kealakekua Bay, Charles Clerke took over the HMS Resolution where he stopped at Waimea Bay on February 28, 1779.
Waimea Bay was the only Oahu anchorage visited by the expedition.

We stopped here in 2011 to enjoy the beach and the beautiful views provided.
